The Indian Book Corner is a collaborative initiative between the Embassy of India and the Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA in an effort to strengthen cultural and educational relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of India. On 26th May morning, the book corner was launched with the handover of 46 academic and cultural books, donated by the Embassy of India to the UNISSA Library. The initiative also aims to provide access to quality reading materials covering various fields, such as science and technology, history, literature and Indian cultural arts.

The launch of the Indian Book Corner was officiated by His Excellency Ramu Abbagani, High Commissioner of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam. The launch is hoped to be a useful reference source for university community, open up space for more international cooperation and be able to enrich international reference resources at the UNISSA Library. Also present was Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA.
